MAINLAND PEOPLE CAN RELATE TO THESE
By Ogbonnaya Amarachi
For those of us on the mainland, we can relate to the struggles of everyday living:
When the conductor calls two hundred naira from iyanoba to Mile two
Issnor only two hundred naira, we go see who wan enter.
The moment he says one hundred and fifty naira,
Oh the rush.
When you hear that cloth is one hundred naira: the speed
When Agbero is Lord of the road
When you forget your change with the conductor, you dont know how and where to start crying from
When okadas are saviors of the road, you know when you want to go to a very far place, but the traffic wont let you be great, you gotta bike all the way
When your village people want to get you, they use Lagos traffic
When you don't even know if human beings are competitng with vehicles to cause traffic in Lagos.
The famous mischievous Alaba International, Tradefair, Yaba boys and their penchant for touching and dragging ladies in the market
We go dey alright las las. Mainland people and leaving the house at 4:00 am to meet up with a 9:00 am appointment are like 5 and 6.
When traffic is an avenue for buying and selling, orisirisi things to buy from in traffic, infact, when you move into a new house, do not buy anything, wait till you get into traffic in Lagos and see how your household needs are met at cheaper prices.
Hahahahahhahhaha, I can so relate
