REVIEW: THE BEAUTY SEMINAR EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT

Written by Amarachi Ogbonnaya

The city of Lagos paid host to what was unarguably one of the coolest business seminars I have ever gone to, and trust me, I have lost count of such.

The seminar which was on the beauty industry and how emerging entrepreneurs could tap from the growing opportunities in it was organized by, "The Women International" closely collaborated with The Good Hair Place, London. It was held at the complex of The Good Hair Place situated in the heart of Lekki Phase one, just down the road from Ebeano Mall, on the 28th of July, 2018.

The event which had the likes of Chioma Ikokwu, (co-founder of The Good Hair Place, London), Ezinne Alpha (CEO, Beauty in Lagos) and Joyce Jacobs (CEO, Joyce Jacobs Beauty) as guest speakers at the event truly lived up its expectations of, "Starting, Funding, Growing and Sustaining a Successful Business in the Hair/Beauty Industry" which was its theme.

The event was well attended by over twenty female entrepreneurs in Lagos and truly, we all learnt the surefire of starting and sustaining our businesses that can weather any storm, in the most relaxed, laid back but business firm environment, different from the types I have been to which had serious atmospheres. Here, everyone bonded over doughnuts and banters and networked, the type of networking that collaborations are formed and long lasting relationships.

Would I recommend this type of seminar to any boss chick who is super thirty for knowledge, more knowledge and success, yes, yes, yes. The Women International is an organization that aims at promoting self love among women and all their hangouts and seminars are always surrounded in genuine love for the total growth of the woman.
