INSPIRATION THURSDAY: MIND YOUR EYES

Everything in skirt passing, you go look; every cute guy wey get package pass, you go look. Ermmm! Is there an offence in looking and admiring beautiful things and people? Mba nu! Me sef I like beautiful faces and things gan oh! To look isn't anything until the lookery leads you to landing in the danger zone.

Our eyes are symbolic of vision for life. A blind man has no "direction for life" no wonder he often needs a human lead to guide him through life. Sure we have some physically blind people that are doing amazing because their inner eyes aren't blind. The eye is one powerful part of a man. It is just too delicate and important to the fulfilment of one's assignment on the earth. In fact, to have all the part of the body intact is important but to have a functional eye sight is "importanter". Lol!

I get people ask me all the time, Luchi, how do I break free from sexual addiction? And I ask them what have you been feeding on? You see that suit jacket container called flesh that houses the real us; our spirit, it wants all the "wrong things". I don't mean everything our flesh craves for is wrong but maybe wrong for the time they want them. For instance, a young lady or guy who isn't married and their flesh craves sex is that right? Well, yes! Crave for sex is not wrong in itself, rather, we are to only fulfill it in marriage.

The flesh longs, craves and is obsessed with everything that excites her except work. But we can put our sex crave under control till the time. So if you will break free from sexual addiction like pornography or masturbation then I ask again what you are feeding your mind with. What are you feasting your eyes upon? What do you allow your eyes to see? What do you behold with your eyes?

What are you beholding?
What you behold is what you will be held down by. Vision is what drives a man's life. What you look at every day is what you will look like and is what will drive you. You know we have eyes that can open and close so that when we come in contact with things that don’t edify our minds we can close our physical eyes and more importantly our inner eyes. Beholding a screen full blown in sexual activity is setting yourself up to act what you see.

Can we be deliberate? Nothing happens by chance, no dear. You have to work things to make them work. Be intentional about what you keep your eyes on and know when and what to close your eyes to. Own your life! Be deliberate! Act intentionally!

Ain't you already tired of the messing up of your eyes which leads to a messed up mind and then a messed up self? Why do you have to pass through that deadly route time and again when you know it's a slippery path that always makes you trip and land your all dressed up and well packaged self, and better still your saved self into the pit of mess? Oops!

You've got self-control produced in you as a believer and have the power to live above all the filthy fleshly craves. Choose to live above that addiction.

Sexual addiction has no power over you except the one you feed it by feeding your eyes on all the wrong still and moving images.

Choose to look on and at things that empower your mind, edify you, inspire you, and provoke you to good works.
Own your life!
Keep your eyes on your life's vision and divine assignment!
