ELOY AWARDS AND ALL OF ITS FINESSE

If you were not at the Eloy (Exquisite ladies of the Year)awards, held at Intercontinental hotel, Victoria island, Lagos, yesterday, the 25th of November, here is how it went down.

I have always been a strong supporter of women empowerment and spotlight, so, when I was called to cover this beautiful event that touched the very core of my firm belief in women, I was glad to attend.

The red carpet started at 5pm with beautiful ladies in all their regal dresses, taking pictures and being interviewed by various media houses that came to cover the event, like wazobia max TV, Tvc, silverbird, to mention but a few.

The event gave recognition to outstanding women in various industries ranging from fashion, agriculture, media, innovation, etc.

The innovation/invention award went to Uche Pedro of Bellanaija, who gave a speech on how the women around her supported her all through, we hear various assumptions of women tearing down themselves and you wonder what part of the country this women came from.

The social media Influencer of the year went to Cynthia Nwadiora aka Cee C (ex bbnaija housemate), even though I strongly believed Lily of Hustlersquare  should have won it because she has more followers, but it goes to show to Cee C's Spartans aren't smiling o. Wonders shall never end sha, imagine Cee C that almost everybody hated in the house, coming out to claim multiple awards, chai, I am so going for this year's bbnaija audition, hope y'all will be my Spartans and vote for me? 😀😂.

The side attractions (performances) were totally out of this world, from the guy who sang the national anthem to the 26 year old spoken word artiste, to the plus size models performance, (see pictures and videos below).

We all gave a 2 minutes standing silence to Tosyn Bucknor, the OAP who died of sickle cell disease, it was really emotional.

The event was really beautiful inside and out, celebrities like Shaffy Bello, Deyemi, Adaku of Jenifa's diary were in attendance. I personally want to say this here, we are our own problem las las, whilst we were at the video booth (that thing that rotates you whilst you either dance or just pose for the camera, plix, nobody should call me a bush geh o 😂😀), aunty shaffy just came and jumped the queue to do hers (no excuse me, no please, don't tell me celeb), she would have said something or the guy that brought her should have, nobody said anything and she just entered, it was really annoying and disheartening that in a country where we scream our politicians are corrupt, we the masses can't even do better, anyway, I digress.
