WAKANDA AT THE PRIVATE MOVIE PREMIERE OF ALABAGBE

Written by Amarachi Ogbonnaya.

Happy Sunday y'all, shout out to you my dearest blog visitors, oya, mama wakanda went for the private movie premiere of Alabagbe and Aramide Agbofinro, Yoruba movies produced by Ayobami Ojo Badejoko, popularly known as Oyita. #girlpower.

First of all, the #africantime syndrome is becoming irritatingly unbearable, let my just state here that if you are invited for an event and you arrive at that time, you are jobless, so says Nigerians. Here is how to attend an event in Nigeria, if the program is scheduled to start at 2pm, please come by 6pm, if you don't have what to do, sleep, I say sleep, and sleep some more and then when you come, it will be assumed you are a very busy person (minister of sleep, Lol). I pity the oyibos who honor Nigerian invitations and arrive right on time, Oyo is your name, in fact I remember a movie premiere I attended in Abuja, the Canadian ambassadors that were invited came at exactly 4pm that was on the invitation card, we started by 8pm, the poor guys had to leave by 7pm frustrated, we Nigerians understand ourselves better.

Imagine a premiere scheduled to start by twelve pm, as at 5pm I got there, they hadn't started. We started officially by 6pm, we were busy listening to, "If we no get money Wetin we gain," if we come early, Wetin we gain o, Lol, I digress.

One sister Mi almost made me miss appearing on City people magazine o, can you imagine? The photographer came to our table to take us pictures and this sister said we were not together, for that, she wasn't interested, excuse you, if only you knew who sat down close to you (the way I eyed her ehn), the photographer sef left us, ehn, my chance to appear in a socialite magazine (I don't like this rough play plix), trust me na, I went to call the man again, come and take only me, or how else will my people know I have made it? Plix when you see me in the magazine, show your village pipo that this blogger haf arrive, "We global now," (in Charles Okocha's voice).

The Premiere had notable actors and producers in the Yoruba industry in attendance; Mc Oluomo, Kiitan, etc and in all, it was a beautiful one, we sure had fun as it was a very private affair; close friends, family and colleagues in the industry.

In the movie, one of the characters was an incurable sex maniac and kept disturbing her husband for sex, since it was a question and answer section, we were asked if it was normal for a woman to have a very high libido, well, I leave you to imagine the opinions of people in the hall, but I want to ask, is it OK for a woman to have high libido? How often should a couple make love and personally, what do you term deal breaker in a relationship? Oya answer in the comment section.

I now believe the saying that those who have small backside can shake it more than those who have it big, if you know, you know, one smallish sister that came to sing (and oh, her voice sounds like Simi) used hers very well.

Nollywood people can waste time sha, oga contribute what you have to the producer in form of support and go, ehn ehn, they will form sermon, at the end, they will give small money. The big boys who drop huge sums of money don't talk much, people like us... (😒, what? Stop jealous joh).

At the end of the day, we didn't watch the moviesto the end because of plenty talk and I decided to call it a night, tomorrow begins a fresh set of waka for me, wish me luck guys. By the way, who is going for Gtbank Fashion Weekend this coming weekend? If you will, say yes in the comment section, if not, make plans to attend because I want to do a meet and greet with my BVs (Blog Visitors).

Goodnight and remember, have a fab new week FAM.
