TIPS ON HOW TO ATTEND THE EXPERIENCE LAGOS
Written by Amarachi Ogbonnaya.
Today's activities in Lagos is what yorubas will say, "O ti yapa." There is Experience, Shiloh, Redeem camp, all these are traffic-calling activities.
There are two student lovers beside me that are already on their way to TBS to book seats ahead of time, so if you are still at home, I pirry you, it's either you don't go, watch it at home or well, repeat same action.
I remember last fours years when I and my elder sister attended, we left the house by 2pm, didn't get there till like 6pm and the traffic was crazy, that was my fistfirst time and it wasn't encouraging seeing that crowd.
Then last year we attended, we got there by 10pm, I had to use street sense to get a seat, hanty was just there doing ajebo (smh), when she saw me gallantly sitting down, she deviced her own means to join Me.
To those that would be attending, I would be giving you tips on how to attend experience and have maximum satisfaction.
1. Go super early, like this lovers beside me or have your friends keep seats for you, but that one you are on your own o, if network fucks you up, Pele. We tried it once, we didn't see them throughout the event.
2. When you get there whatever time, especially from 10pm, you have to be smart, when you get to where you feel is ok to sit, do like you have a seat already but when to pee or something, even if the usher follows you, keep walking until you get to an empty seat, insist it is yours, seat your butt there and cross your legs, watch the usher leave you alone. Ermmm, plix, make sure when the real owner comes, endeavor to beg him to share with you, after all, who told you to come late?
3. Locate a seat close to any of the big screens so you can see well or locate the big mast, where a screen is mounted, make sure you are inside the confines of the mast, where the DJ stand is mounted, or those guys that share brochures, locate them, make friends with those bouncers, make sure you smile a lot at them if you are a lady, they will allow you enter, that's where you get all the actions, once artiste starts performing you can stand on those brochures, and gyrate to melodies or if there are seats there, you can stand there.
4. Make sure you don't sit on those seats at the back, the stair areas, you are on your own o, that is the back, that is where the agberos smoke and pick people's pockets, make sure you keep your valuables very safe.
5. Make sure you have fun, take selfies, dance to the music because you are alive, stay safe and do not attempt to go and pee else you loose your seat, do not attempt to look for your friend you didn't go together with, Oyo is your case.
